AMERICA UNDER SIEGE

There is a war raging in America. A cultural war is being fought over who will get your child. Whoever it is that can control the children will decide what will become of America. The things they are taught will determine the culture of future America, if God tarries.

While so-called “sex education” programs provide some of the more sensational revelations, there are countless other programs carrying on the same brainwashing process under such names as “decision-making” or “values clarification.” The real message of these programs is that there is no such thing as right and wrong. Our children learn that traditional values in general must be discarded as old prejudices so that the individual can construct his or her own values to reflect his own feelings. May I quote from the letter I received from President Bill Clinton concerning values: “I firmly believe in the Constitution and in the rights, it grants us as American citizens. The key to these rights, however, is that we must use them responsibly and understand our duties to others.”

Although the school is the crucial battlefield in the cultural war, there are many other places where the war is being waged. One example is the mass media. The subtle message of the politically correct is always there. There are the blatant acts to convince your children to accept homosexuality as normal behavior of a normal lifestyle. Last week, only a few minutes from Headquarters, a teacher was physically escorted from a middle school classroom by the authorities for graphically teaching the so-called proper sex techniques. Some companies and collage campuses are now bringing in consultants to browbeat employees and students into accepting the politically correct’s notion regarding minorities, women, homosexuals, and any other group on which the politically correct focus.

As with any conflict between two established sides, a collision will eventually occur that will prove to be decisive. It will be the struggle remembered as the turning point and the battle that made the difference. The Church must take a stand! We can make a difference!

We are engaged in the Civil War of Values. The hottest and most dangerous confrontation of this war is being fought over children, adolescent sexuality, and relevant policies. It is here that the secular humanists have made their most audacious invasion of our homes and homeland. It is here that our cherished beliefs and christian teachings have been attacked by the immoral and politically correct.

Look at what has been lost in a few short years. Virginity is a joke. Premarital sex is considered by the world as a normal way of life. Ten- and twelve-year-old children talk openly about the most intimate adult subjects. Homosexuality has become a “valid” lifestyle with protected minority status. Traditional teachings of the Church are contradicted daily in the classroom. Venereal disease is rampant. Language is so foul that one would think that profanity is being taught rather than English. Ultimately, the faith for which godly parents would give their lives is being undermined and weakened by the youth of today.

No doubt the secular humanists have chosen adolescent sexuality as the battleground. Apostolic views of morality and values of purity are the most deeply held convictions by the saint of God. When they are destroyed or conquered, the victim becomes open prey to many other devices used by satan under the modern term “new agenda.” This “new agenda” concept, when embraced by the youth of today, will drive a wedge between generations and make kids vulnerable to other alien ideas. We are already experiencing the effects of this in our churches.

There is no better way to destroy the family than to undermine traditional values: abstinence from premarital sex, and the teachings of one husband and one wife, “until death do us part.” As we have seen, if the family collapses, the heartland of America is wide open to a cultural revolution.

When the concepts of premarital chastity and marital monogamy are destroyed, then in the mind of our youth, their faith is also destroyed.

So, the war rages on. It is your child the secular humanists and politically correct society want to take from you Apostle Paul wrote: “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against the spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day -.”

We, the Apostolic Church, are engaged in a war for righteousness and Truth. The words of the old song we used to sing should be our war cry: “You must fight, be brave, against all evil. Never run nor even lag behind. If you would win for God and the right, just keep on the firing line.”
