This writer feels a strong need, to preserve with military guardedness, the sanctity of the Apostolic doctrine. Others may, but we cannot, cast away with insensitive feelings the world’s only saving message. The mad rush to be accepted in the present flow of the so-called Christian community will and is resulting in the erosion of holiness of flesh and spirit. The outlandish fuzzy headed perm hair styles of women and the over borderline hair styles of men are only blaring indicators of spirits deep within. The all-too-common rationale is to compare degrees of wrongness with others. Perhaps this is a…
There is a war raging in America. A cultural war is being fought over who will get your child. Whoever it is that can control the children will decide what will become of America. The things they are taught will determine the culture of future America, if God tarries. While so-called “sex education” programs provide some of the more sensational revelations, there are countless other programs carrying on the same brainwashing process under such names as “decision-making” or “values clarification.” The real message of these programs is that there is no such thing as right and wrong. In addition, the underlying biblical principle is that all intoxication is wrong; therefore, we should…
There are many sacred shrines in the National Cemetery at Arlington, Virginia, where patriots and travelers go to honor illustrious Americans, but the one shrine that towers above them all, in my estimation at least, was not erected to honor the name of a valiant general or able president or statesman, but is there to give honor to the many soldiers who died on the field of battle. Among the many dead they carried away for proper burial, one unidentified body of a foot soldier was selected to be enshrined in a tomb to represent all the others who gave…
Tne of the most descriptive pas sages of scripture pertaining to this age is Rev. 3:17. The Laodicean church was deceived into believing that gain was godliness and that because of their financial advancement they were also greater in the eyes of God. Nothing could have been farther from the truth. God has never been one to count heads or dollars. The spirit of the Laodicean age is very evident today. Laodicea was the last of the seven churches in Asia and was typical of the last church age, which we believe to be the one now present. Laodicea lay on…
